I’m joined by Eiman Al Zaabi. She comes from a traditional Arab Muslim family in Abu Dhabi and after years of suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, she began a practice of energy healing. Despite her family’s objections to what they felt was in conflict with her faith. Isolated from her family and feeling the loss of their support, Eiman uttered one prayer to God that became her affirmation: “Show me the bridge.” She made it her mission to bring the loving spirituality of Islam to a Western audience, laying out a blueprint for true peace and authentic living.
Eiman pursued her journey of exploring science, the Quran, and the realm of spirituality to discern her own truth. The result is her debut book, The Art of Surrender, the first modern spirituality book incorporating the underlying principles of Islam: humility, peace and unity.
Drawing on her Muslim heritage and her wise and careful exploration of a variety of spiritual traditions, Eiman Al Zaabi shows how the soul’s journey can lead us to the ultimate state of fulfillment and joy: surrender.
In her book, Eiman reminds us that surrender is not about being ‘less than’ anything or anyone. It is a lifelong journey and spiritual practice connected to true humility.
